A deck doesn't have to be large to be incredibly elegant.  Limited lot space dictated that this deck could be no more than 10' from the sunroom Two octagonal bump-outs provide dining and conversation space and are connected by a walkway.  A built-in bench provides seating without taking up a large amount of useable space.  All maintenance-free ensures hours of enjoyment and no work staining and maintaining.

Simple is elegant when it is designed to fit both the customer's needs and their home.   Note the deck compliments the dramatic roof-line and existing landscaping.

A maintenance-free deck surface with  cedar trim is a popular combination to reduce maintenance beautifully!  Custom cedar railings, hand-routered step lighting, a built-in bench/planter box and large wrap-around box steps tie the inside living space of this home to this gorgeous backyard and pool.  This deck makes entertaining and family enjoyment a breeze.

This beautiful deck allows access to the backyard and the space to enjoy it.  Custom feaures like a bench with a back, step lights, and hand-made lattice boxes to hide meters and the air conditioner give the rear of an older home a polished look

A low deck doesn't have to lack in architectural interest.  In this case, a deck that is only 8-10" above grade is defined by benches and planter boxes.  A hand-made lattice privacy screen defines the bbq area.

A wood deck can be both economical and beautiful!  A level change and a small amount of rail gives this deck definition and style.

A deck that is low to the ground allows the homeowner the choice of whether they want rail or not.  In this case, maintenance-free rail adds definition and beauty to a very low deck.  Custom details in the cedar trim, like the "reveal" are finishing touches that set DECKStraordinaire apart.

A gorgeous home in a very exclusive neighborhood needed just the right finishing touch.  Two cut corners, wrap-around box steps and a matching walkway all in a maintenance-free material and trim that match the brick do so beautifully!

Another view of the deck from above with the hand-made privacy screen.  You can see how the built-in benches and planter boxes give definition and a finished look to a low deck.

A view from the pool of a deck from above.  Planter boxes define the end of the steps and beautifully prevent tripping.  (As you can see from the flat of flowers in the foreground, the homeowner was in the process of planting the planter boxes when this picture was taken.)

A long, narrow peninsula was a problem for this homeowner until we added this deck that makes the space useable.  A private beach on the far side is complimented and defined by this deck.  Stairs in the foreground allow access to the homeowner's boats, and skirting finishes the look.
